INTRODUCTION:

The College: Established in 1971 by the Jamner Taluka Education Society with the motto "Satyam Vadam Dharmam Char," the Arts & Commerce College initially affiliated with Poona University, Pune, and later with North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. This institution has been a beacon of education for students residing in nearby villages, particularly those deprived of higher education opportunities in Arts & Commerce. Recognizing the societal needs, the Science faculty was introduced in June 1989. The college continues to play a crucial role in rural development by instilling cultural, national, and social values through a holistic approach encompassing curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities.

The Hindi Department: Established in 1972, the Hindi Department has been a significant part of the college, contributing to the promotion of the national language. Initially, Hindi was taught at a general level to students in both Arts and Commerce faculties. Over time, due to growing interest, the subject evolved, and since 1990, Hindi literature has been taught at a specialized level. The department has evolved under the leadership of dedicated individuals, including Shri. R. D. Sabadra and Dr. A. V. Mishra. Extra-curricular activities are conducted to enhance intelligence and awareness among learners. Dr. Amrit Khadape has been heading the department since June 29, 2017.

The department is well-equipped with modern teaching tools, including a rich library and audio-visual aids. A comprehensive collection of reference books, standard journals, and magazines are available to ensure students have updated knowledge in the subject.
